INNOSPACE has officially announced adjustments to the launch schedule for its satellite launch vehicle, HANBIT-Nano, moving the planned date from March 2025 to July 2025.
SEJONG, South Korea (December 13, 2024) – INNOSPACE (KS: 462350), a South Korean private spaceflight startup specializing in small satellite launch vehicles, has officially announced adjustments to the launch schedule for its satellite launch vehicle, HANBIT-Nano, moving the planned date from March 2025 to July 2025.
The adjustment stems primarily from delays in the supply of components for the launch vehicle’s electric pump and the construction of a new integrated test facility in South Korea. These delays have affected the launch vehicle’s hardware production timeline and testing schedules. The rescheduled launch date reflects the next available slot at the Brazil launch site in July 2025.
The development of a satellite launch vehicle demands high precision, optimization, and collaboration across a wide network of partners—from securing key technologies to producing hardware. Unexpected challenges at various stages can significantly impact the overall project timeline. To address these challenges, INNOSPACE is implementing a diversification strategy for its supply chain by identifying alternative suppliers for critical components and minimizing reliance on single-source providers through both domestic and international networks. Additionally, the new integrated test facility is being constructed with a phased completion approach, employing process parallelization to prioritize the early availability of single-qualification hot fire testing equipment.
“We deeply regret the inconvenience caused to our customers, shareholders, investors, and other stakeholders due to the adjustment in the launch schedule. With the understanding and cooperation of our customers, this decision has been made to enhance the stability and reliability of the launch vehicle. We are committed to thoroughly preparing in the remaining time to ensure the successful execution of the launch mission and to honor the trust our customers have placed in us,” said Soojong Kim, founder and CEO of INNOSPACE.
